Go Read

By: Annette Camp

Another piece of blackout poetry from The New Yorker May 8, 2017 magazine

Every home everywhere
kids love adventures.

Quiet here, boys.
Look.
Dream.
Go read books.

Open.
Read.
Laugh in solitude.
Connect.

Sometimes people
were writing
interesting
endeavors.

Fresh remarkable
things: hope,
love, trust,
affection.

Companionship.
Pleasure.
Comfort.
Friendship.
