Poetic Vision: Days 57 - 61

I have been affirming the following words this past week: experiences, enjoy, strength, quiet, and transforming. Doing daily affirmations has not only allowed me to focus on WHAT I want, but also HOW I want it. I envisioned experiences that I enjoyed. Experiences of strength and quiet. I called upon transforming experiences. This week has been amazing! 

As I continue to move into this next week, I will continue to visualize that which I want to materialize. I will affirm what I desire deep within my soul...and so it is!

Poetic Vision: Days 52 - 56

Since the trip with Thor, I have been affirming the following words: progress, opportunities, changes, magic, and welcome. I have indeed changed over these last 56 days. I have learned and I have grown. I have seen progress and opportunities abound. Magic has occurred and I welcome it all.

This is what I know - the Universe is absolutely crazy about me! 

Poetic Vision: Days 47 - 51

During our 4 day trip with Thor, I affirmed the following words: gift, miracles, spiritual, confidence, and unlimited. Whatever happens in my future will be beyond anything I can imagine. I just know it. That which I visualize WILL materialize or something better.

There is so much unlimited potential to be had. I choose to affirm that which I vision for my future. And so it is!

Poetic Vision: Days 42 - 46

I failed to post my vision book entries prior to our third trip in Thor. I just got so excited that it slipped my mind. So, I will now post those 5 day entries. I was affirming the following words on the days prior to leaving: potential, fruitful, peace, revealed, and manifestation.

We left on the 15th for our trip in Thor, after a fruitful development on Hipcamp (www.hipcamp.com) finding a replacement camping site due to the Colorado fires where we were originally headed. It was so peaceful there. Again, there was a materialization of what I had visualized on the 13th. Keep on believin'. Love to you all!

Trippin' with Thor: Trip 3

For this trip, my affirmation word is HAPPY! My wife and I took our third adventure in our camper van named Thor. After cancelling our trip to Southeast Colorado due to the fires, I quickly began visualizing our next destination. We were headed East. Kansas - our 4th state in 4 weeks! We are happy and loving life!

Day 1: Roaming the roads

First adventure stop - Buffalo Bill's Cultural Center

It was nice to get out, stretch our legs, grab some photos and eat lunch by the corn fields. I'm so grateful for this life I live and family I have.

Second adventure stop - High Plains Camping and RV 

We stopped for the night at a RV campground never expecting bunnies, goats, chickens and cows. We watched the sun set on the Kansas plains, which brought a huge smile to my face

and happiness to my heart.

Day 2: Roaming the roads

First adventure stop - Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park

Although it was extremely hot, it was a really cool adventure to stop and see nature's forces at work. There are 250 acres of rock formations from more than 80 million years ago to view

from three overlooks.

Second adventure stop - Monument Rocks (aka chalk pyramids)

This was by far the coolest natural feature of our entire trip. We were able to see these rock formations that were as tall as 70 feet. In 2008, more than 24,000 people from all 50 states cast votes to determine Kansas’ most important natural or manmade wonders and this was among them. 

This is a MUST see!

Day 3: Roaming the roads

First adventure stop - C2T Ranch on the Saline River

We found this fabulous Ranch spot off of an app called Hipcamp. It was such a peaceful spot to spend a couple of days. Getting to the spot was a challenge on some very rustic ranch roads, but Thor was a trooper. The sunset, fireflies, and starry night sky was so worth it.

Day 4: Roaming the roads

First adventure stop - Old Fort Bissell

This is where we met teacher Miss Millie. She was taking precautions amidst COVID-19, unlike most of the people we saw in Kansas. Although, we did see a photo from 1935 of kids in goggles and masks during the Dust Bowl. Boy, were there some crazy "rules" for teachers back in 1827 (see below). You can find other really interesting things on the curator's blog at: https://fortbissell.wordpress.com/

Second adventure stop - St. Francis Motorcycle Museum

Guess what we found here? One of Thor's relatives - a 1906 Thor Racer. Thor motorcycles were made between 1903 - 1916. I loved reading the information about it. To read more on this cool museum, go to: https://www.facebook.com/St-Francis-Motorcycle-Museum-829585667066415/ 

If you love motorcycles, you will love this place. The volunteers there knew so much about the bikes, and their history.  They had so many stories to share, including how they came to have a vault in the building for their oldest motorcycle - a 1902 Orient motorcycle.

Regardless of where we go or what we do when we get there, it's about the journey not the destination. Until next time, stay safe and healthy. Toodles!  

Poetic Vision: Days 37 - 41

I've decided that I will go ahead and post my vision book pages with the daily affirmations in chunks. This will free up the days I may be out of internet range during our family road trips. We are heading out at the end of the week on our first 4 day adventure with Thor. I am so looking forward to it. I have been affirming the following words this past several days: slow, opening, calm, seeds, and friendship. 

I have felt a HUGE shift in the relationships in my life. The seeds have rooted and are growing into some beautiful friendships. At the same time, I am needing time for myself for relaxation. I have been working for a year and a half without any real unplug time. I am hoping to get some soon. My wife and I have got a great spot on the river where we can park Thor and go explore. I am beyond excited. Of course, I will post the next trip photos when we get back. Love to you all! 

Poetic Vision: Days 32 - 36

I've always believed that if I looked for positive things in my life, I would find them and I have. The month of August has brought me an overflowing supply of love. I am so grateful for the good in my life. As I visualize that which I want to materialize, I am continually reminded to do more of what makes me happy. Oh the words I have affirmed thus far in the first week of August: prosperity, encircle, guide, evolving, and energy. I am living the life I never imagined. I am healthy, happy and excited about all that is coming my way. Check this out...
